Happy the nurture beetle

Get yourself comfortable, and start noticing your breath, in and out……in and out…….in and out……  Now imagine that you are getting transported to a magical forest…. This magical forest might be the most magical forest that you have ever seen….. if you have ever seen one……you will notice now that you have shrunk into a much smaller size …… the reason for that is,  if you would stay your normal size you wouldn’t be able to see all the magic and its magical beings that live in this forest. They are all smaller creatures and can not be seen by big people……do not worry because once this journey is over, you will be growing to your normal size again.   Start looking around you, you might not be able to believe your eyes, you are probably not even sure where to look first, its night time and there are millions of little lights lighting up the night sky ever so gently, looking closer,  you notice that the lights are in fact are fire flies and because its a magical forest, the fire flies are all shining in different colours. These lights are nothing you have ever seen before…… take your time and take it all in……..  Walking deeper into the forest you notice that there are doors in all the trees, some smaller than others and some are bigger than others, could it be that creatures are living in these trees…….for a moment just sit down on the ground or something that you can sit on near by…….. take in your surroundings….. notice everything that you might see, its almost like watching a movie, seeing things that you might have never seen before and some things that might seem very familiar to you….…… notice how you feel…….  In the distance you  notice one of the tree doors open and you hardly can believe your eyes, when you see a gnome coming out of one of the doors, he is looking straight at you with the biggest smile on his face, he is happy, because he just loves having visitors from other worlds….… he says: “Hello my name is Happy, I live here in the magical forest and I have been waiting for a long time to meet you, I always knew that you would find your way here one day.”  He asks you if you like to come for a walk through the magical forest with him….which you gladly accept, loving the company.   Walking along, you notice an area where there are a colony of big and small toadstools, looking more closely you can see that there are tiny beings gathering around, under the toadstools, they are dancing, laughing, eating, just having so much fun and enjoying each others company…….you ask Happy: “who are these creatures,” Happy tells you that they are called nurture beetles, the reason that they are called nurture beetles is, because they have a very special job to do, not only is their job to be kind to each other in every way possible, it is also there job to look after everyone that needs help……unfortunately some people/ kids forgot how to be kind to themselves, to love themselves, to accept themselves just as they are….many forgot that no-one is perfect and that everyone makes mistakes from time to time and that is okay because one can learn from their mistakes instead of beating themselves up over them……..  so the nurture beetles are there to remind everyone not to be so hard on themselves but be kind and loving towards themselves and others……….Happy explains that you could come and see them any time you need to, anytime you feel like you need someone to look out for you and someone to help you find love for yourself again. You now join the nurture beetles and you feel instantly at home and comfortable, they give you food and drink, a nice warm blanket….. there is also a campfire where you can roast some marshmallows on a stick if you wish to do so….. One of the beetles comes and sits right next to you, he asks if you have anything you would like to ask him, so if you have any question, now its the perfect time to ask or maybe tell him what it is that you might need help with……..listen to what he has to say to you………Take your time……………………………..  He also tells you that you are never alone and if you are feeling lonely, sad or any other feelings that might come out, to remember the nurture beetles, remember the soft blanket, the food and drink, just remember how it made you feel when you came here to visit the magical forest, remember that you can be part of this beautiful place at any time as you wish to.  Just stay there for a little while longer and when you are ready, say good bye to the nurture people,  Happy is walking back with you to the spot you both met, he says: “please come back here anytime you need to, we are always here for you, all you have to do is close your eyes and wish for the magical forest and you will get there instantly”…. Say good bye to your friend,  take a deep breath in and out and magically you are back into your normal size body again… when you are ready, open your eyes   Now if you like,  talk about your experience in the magical forest, maybe write down what you experienced, what the nurture beetle had to say to you and maybe even do a drawing of what your magical forest looked like…..
